Follow these instructions to determine your deployment method.
Depending on your deployment method (columns) and user assignments (rows), you can add or remove the Outlook Add-in for specific users using the options in the table below. Each option is listed by how quickly Microsoft processes your changes.

Locally in Outlook Client
⚠️ For Available and Optional Deployment Methods Only
The steps below apply only to users with the Outlook Add-in deployed using the Available or Optional methods (as described here).
🔊 User-Specific Outlook Add-in Changes and Delays
Changes apply to all Outlook desktop and web clients, usually appearing in Outlook on the Web first, and can take up to 60 minutes to take effect.
- Navigate to https://aka.ms/olksideload to open the Add-Ins for Outlook manager in Outlook on the Web (see Microsoft instructions).
- Click Admin-managed.
- Find the Outlook Add-in you wish to add or remove.
- To add an add-in, click on Add.
- To remove an add-in, click on the three horizontal "Manage Add-in" ellipses and click Remove.
- Reload Outlook on the Web and restart all Outlook desktop clients.
Centrally via Microsoft 365
⚠️ Change Propagation Delay
Changes may take 6-24 hours to be fully propagated by Microsoft.
🔊 For Manually Assigned Users in Microsoft 365 Admin Center
Applies to users manually defined in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

Navigate to the Microsoft 365 admin center > (Show all) > Settings > Integrated apps > Add-Ins, as shown in screenshot below.
- Click the relevant add-in to open the flyout.
- Add or remove users, as shown in screenshot below.
- Click Save.
Centrally via Entra ID Groups

🔊 For Users Managed Through Entra ID Groups
Applies to users managed using Entra ID groups.
- To add users (members) to an Entra ID group, follow this Microsoft article.

Switching from "Everyone" User Assignment
If the Assigned Users are set to Everyone in the Microsoft 365 admin center, the best option is to switch to the Specific users / groups option and exclude users as needed (i.e. if they experience technical issues), as shown in screenshot below (see instructions).

Navigate to the Microsoft 365 admin center > (Show all) > Settings > Integrated apps > Add-Ins, as shown in screenshot below.
- Click the relevant add-in to open the flyout.
- Review the selection under Deployment Method, as shown in screenshot below.
